Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter. -- Brad Henry

New Toy

My husband saw an ad on Craig's List selling a motorcycle.  It was a "heck of a deal" apparently, with the intent of keeping it for a few months then selling for a profit.  In the mean time, he has ordered a few accessories that were needed, just to stay safe.

The little one loves riding with him and being picked up from school on it.

And, he has talked me into going to the grocery store.  Notice I'm wearing a back pack.

Somehow, I don't think this was a temporary purchase.

Senior Prom

Our oldest looked beautiful for her senior prom!  A little too much leg showing for my preference, but she's someone that could pull it off.  Enjoy the pictures!

Favorite Coach

Eric has coached all three of our kids through 8 soccer seasons in U6 & U8.  That's 24 soccer seasons!  Each time, he ends with a wonderful award ceremony where he gives the team a pep talk about staying with the sport, trying new positions, and just having fun.

After the pep talk, he calls the players up one by one to receive their medal.  He uses this opportunity to highlight individual accomplishments, skills, and examples of great sportsmanship during the season.  The parents love it and always ask to be on his team each season.  Such a proud wife.  :)

First Communion

The Godparents flew down for a special trip just to watch our youngest receive her First Communion.  We had to take them downtown with the georgous weather, and the little one wanted her picture with her favorite statue.

During the ceremony, she was assigned one of the Prayers of the Faithful.

The precious moment of receiving Christ for the first time....

Afterwards, a picture with Fr. Miles.

The whole gang.  So proud of the little girl!  Now she can finally be an alter server!

Reconciliation

Our youngest is about to receive her First Communion this weekend, but before she does, her class has their First Confession, or the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Not sure it was appropriate to take a picture, but I did.

Afterward, the parents greet the child as in the parable of the prodigal son.  We put a ring on their finger and a stoll around their neck to welcome them home with forgiveness.
